How to book your dog in for Christmas with us.

October 30, 2026 By Claire

Pet Central Hotel | Kennels & Cattery located in Sambourne, Warwickshire

As summer ends and Autumn begins we are looking forward to Christmas and with it booking in your pet. What do you need to do before booking for Christmas at Pet Central Hotel.

We have provided below the essentials you will need for your pets stay over the Christmas period:

When to book?
As Christmas is a busy time for us, we recommend you book in advance as space does become limited. As you make plans to visit friends and family don’t forget to book your pet in.

We recommend three months prior to the Christmas period to be sure of your pets space, although we do sometimes have availability for any last minute bookings. Availability can be limited especially around the main Christmas and New Years days.

When you make the booking, if you would like a Christmas lunch then please ask a member of staff and they will put your pet on the list for Dinner.

Christmas Dinners
As part of our Christmas service our staff offer to cook your pet a Christmas Dinner. This can be ordered when you drop off or in advance when you make your pets booking.

The Christmas dinner is cooked freshly by our staff and they will also post photos for you.

Social Media
At the festive time our customers want to visit family and friends you can still stay in touch with your pet via our social media outlets. We will still post photos over the main Christmas and New Year period for you.

We will also be able to respond to any messages you sent to us and communicate if required. Don’t worry you will be talking to one of our helpful staff member and not an AI bot. Don’t worry if you are not on social media we can also be contacted by telephone to catch up on your pets stay at Pet Central Hotel.

Daily Routine
Although it is Christmas, we still carry on with our normal daily routine of playtime and daily walks. If you are bringing any Christmas presents, please leave them a member of staff when you drop off. The only difference will be with our opening times changing around the main festive days.

Opening Times over the Festive Period
Although we stay open to our boarders we do close to customers to drop off and check in. We have listed them below for your convenience:

Opening times over Christmas:

Thursday the 24th of December 8:30 until 10am
Friday the 25th of December Closed
Saturday the 26th of December Closed
Sunday the 27th of December Normal Hours
Thursday the 31st of December 8:30 until 10am
Friday the 1st of January 2027 Closed
Saturday the 2nd January normal hours

Charges over Christmas and New Year
Over the festive period our costs remain the same for daily boarding, we only do a double charge for the main three days once.

Vaccinations for the Festive Period
With the festive period vets do get busy and it is important to check your pet is fully vaccinated at least six weeks prior to boarding.

As a rule we ask for all our boarders to be vaccinated at least two weeks prior to boarding with us. If you are not sure please call us to discuss.

Medication
At Christmas vets will also have reduced working hours and it is important to order any medication in advance as it can take longer. As for us we will still administer all medication in line with your vets requirements.

Feeding
Although we can provide all food, there may be times when your pet is on a special diet and you will be providing it. At Christmas deliveries can be delayed and allow sufficient time for any food your pet may need.

Most of all please enjoy the festive period knowing your pet will be safe with us at Pet Central hotel. Happy Christmas to all of our customers and Pets.
